Project Native Informant is a contemporary art gallery established in 2013 with a strong interest in expanded institutional critique. For their ten years anniversary, we updated and expanded their visual identity and created a new website. The overly polished look borrows many visual principles from popular entertainment platforms for music, movies and gaming.
For PNI we designed an entire typographic and logo system to be used throughout all public communication, this included signage, press releases and exhibition signage
During the design exploration for the website we analysed various video streaming app designs to identify common visual elements and subsequently used insights from these platforms to influence our final design decisions.
It was important to be able to move across viewports and never have a fixed image position, bringing motion and interaction to static files.
News and Exhibition Information worked through rotating content blocks that could easily be swipped or scrolled.
